The United Methodist Church is the second largest protestant denomination in the United States. It is filled with many various styles and types of congregations all bound together by a common history that goes back to the Rev. John Wesley in 18th Century England.

In Orange County, there are approximately 50 churches, under the supervision of the Rev. Mark Ulrickson, District Superintendent. That region is named the Santa Ana District.

The Cal-Pac Annual Conference is made up of Southern California, Hawaii and Guam. There are over 400 churches in this region with worship services and congregations living out of many cultures and languages. Bishop Mary Ann Swenson is the Bishop of this vast area, and her office is located in Pasadena.
