 Recently the news has been filled with horrible tragedy and death. People all over the world are rushing to help. 

     As United Methodists, we have a unique “no overhead” channel in which ALL the monies given are placed in the hands of those that need it most.  

     This is accomplished through our United Methodist Committee on Relief  (UMCOR)     www.umcor.org

UMCOR is already on the ground, involved and helping…and sending more help all the time.  It is an on-going organization supported by United Methodists all over the world to provide disaster relief where ever and  when ever needed.

 If you would like to do your part, you can give in a number of ways:

          1)  Place a check or envelope in this Sunday’s offering plate clearly marked “Myanmar,” “Spring Flood” or “China.”

                We will rush your donation to UMCOR and OUMC will be placed on the list of responding churches in our Annual Conference.

          2)  Go online to www.umcor.org and give directly.

          3)  Give through other groups such at Red Cross, etc.

 Help us respond.

Your involvement is important and critical to the lives of thousands.

     The Am. Cancer Society “Relay for Life” is coming to Fullerton - Sat & Sun: Jun 21 & 22

         Join Team Orangethorpe UMC @ Fullerton H.S.

 We’re putting together a group of people who will “do laps” walking around the Football field on Sat & Sunday.  On the field will be bands, BBQ’s and all sorts of wonderful people to meet.

   We’ll be honoring those of our church family who recently died from cancer or who are cancer survivors.  Speak to Pastor Terry (pastor.terry(at)megapathdsl.net) for details.

Concerned about Young People joining Gangs and ruining their lives?…

     A Gathering of Concerned Citizens - Sat., Jun. 7, 10:30-Noon. Our Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is joining with others to address this need.
