Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Orangethorpe United Methodist Church locatd in Fullerton, CA. We welcome you and and hope you will be inspired to return as a regular guest.  Perhaps you may even want to consider becoming a member and choosing our fellowship to be the place to help you and those around you grow in God's love and the living presence of Jesus Christ.

Since 1955, Orangethorpe Church has been doing the mission and ministry of the Church in North Orange County, serving generations of individuals and families.

As a church, our mission is: to "Make a Difference Through Christ." 

Our vision states:

What to expect when you visit

Come as you are
Some of our members dress up, but many dress casually, and casual dress is always welcome.

Stop by the Welcome Tables
Stop by the Welcome Tables in our Lobby (Narthex) and pick up our latest "Catch The Spirit" and Newsletter.

Stay for coffee
Fellowship Hall, across the patio from the sanctuary, is the gathering spot following the service. Come share a “hello” and a cup of coffee or punch with other congregants. You are also invited to check out new 11 am worship service which starts at 11 am also in the Fellowship Hall.

What we offer

Sunday Services
The 9 am English Service features our Sanctuary Choir with Organ and Piano. Our 9 am Spanish service has a contemporary feel with guitars and new Christian praise music. All the services feature prayer, scripture reading, singing, and a sermon. Our 11 am Post-Modern, Multi-cultural Praise Service features a live band and contemporary Christian music. Children are always welcome in any of our services.

Friday Night Spanish Language Celebration
This hour service begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes prayer, singing and Study.

Children`s Sunday School
This innovative program starts in the Sanctuary at 9 am as the children experience worship with their parents and guardians for the first 15-20 minutes. At 9:20 a.m. after our "Children's Moments" up front, they leave with our Sunday School leaders and continue with age appropriate Bible study, storytelling, snacks and games, music and assembly. Parents and Guardians can come and observe, join in and support their children as often as they wish.

Programs
Classes, groups and special events for children, youth, adults, young adults, single adults.

Opportunities to Serve
Global missions, outreach projects, 2nd Harvest, Angel Tree Project, Counseling Center, United Methodist Women, United Methodist Men, Health Ministry, homebound and hospitalized visitation, Hurricane Relief Project, "The Big Mission Project."

Education
Adult Christian education, Bible study, youth classes, and children's Sunday school.

Fellowship
Fellowship groups and special interest small groups for all ages.

Arts and Music
Adult, youth and children`s choirs, hand bell choir, drama ministry and even a clown ministry.
